Nearly 60,000 acres of land from 14 separate tracts in Fayette, Somerset and Westmoreland counties. Much of the forest lies along Laurel Ridge. Davis, is located in Forbes and is a short hike from the parking area.

The Youghiogheny River flows along the park's borders, passing through shaded rocky gorges and creating rippling rapids. Muddy Creek Falls is a crashing 53-foot waterfall – a spectacular sight. Tall hemlocks dominate the silent woods. The meandering trails through Swallow Falls guide hikers to some of the most breath-taking scenery in Western Maryland.

A 435 acre geological park featuring Pennsylvania's largest cave. It is located just 20 minutes from Paddler’s Lane, off Route 40, east of Uniontown.
Mount Davis is the highest mountain in Pennsylvania. Mount Davis is the summit of 30-mile long Negro Mountain and roads take you very near the summit. Several hiking trails encircle the highpoint, but none dip below 3,000 feet. Views from the top are nice, especially with the very tall observation tower, that allows for expansive views in all directions. You are surrounded by mountains and you can also see modern wind turbines on a nearby ridge.
Cascades: This beautiful woodland waterfall in Meadow Run is near the park office. The cool, clean waters of this stream make it a favorite haunt of anglers and for those wanting to experience riding the natural waterslides
Cucumber Falls: This 30-foot bridal veil waterfall on Cucumber Run is easily reached from Meadow Run Trail and has parking on SR 2019.
Jonathan Run Falls: Several small waterfalls can be seen from Jonathan Run Trail. Just before the trail meets the Youghiogheny River Trail, the largest waterfall tumbles over rocks between rhododendron-lined banks.
Meadow Run Waterslides: The cascading beauty of this unique geologic formation attracts photographers, geologists and recreation enthusiasts. Explore Meadow Run’s ancient streambed to find ripples carved in stone and potholes scoured by spinning rocks and powerful currents.
Ohiopyle Falls: The power and beauty of this 20-foot waterfall make it a central attraction to the park. The best viewing is from the observation deck in the Falls Day Use Area, in the heart of Ohiopyle.
Upper Johnathan Run Falls
Upper Jonathan Run Falls is located along the Jonathan Run Trail, an quiet trail in the park’s northwest corner. The waterfall is located just past the intersection of the Jonathan Run Trail with the Kentuck Trail. Getting to it requires descending a steep bank along an unmarked trail. Those less adventurous can get a bit of a view of it from the trail. Upper Jonathan Run Falls drops about 8 feet, before doing a right turn and falling a few more feet in some small cascades. This waterfall is quite beautiful, and looks good at times of high or low water.
Lower Johnathan Run Falls
This is the hardest of the falls to reach but very worth the effort. It’s gorgeous!

This Falls runs along Johnathan run and makes for a stunning photographic opportunity/
Sugar Run Falls
This is one of the most beautiful falls in Ohiopyle State Park and it’s quite easy to reach from the end of Jonathan Run Trail.
